Enterprise Asset Server adds editorial workflow and control features to Adobe Acrobat 4. The combination brings document management to a new level: Individual Document Type Descriptions (DTDs) can be assigned to files using the EAS DTD Server. Plus, the high-quality printing features of Acrobat 4 can replace many of your existing PostScript-based methods.

XML-powered

Enterprise Asset Server is well-prepared for XML, the new standard language for structured data. To assure document integrity inside a department, the EAS DTD Server keeps track of all document meta-data (data that describes what each file is, where it came from, etc.) using XML-based templates. These templates are used by everyone in the corporation simultaneously. The DTD client runs inside Adobe Acrobat 4, Microsoft Word, and other applications. The advanced search features of EAS allow users to search the XML database quickly, finding exactly the documents he or she needs.
