HexMac International announces a new XTension which enables the use of Netscape Plug-Ins in QuarkXPress®.

Once again, HexMac International has developed a new XTension for QuarkXPress that is taking the design power of this widely used publishing software to a new level of quality and impact. The XTension, code-named "HexScape XT" supports a wide range of Netscape plug-in formats such as Shockwave, Fractal Images, QuickTime, View Text, Live Audio, and WebActive.

With HexScape XT, users are able to import multimedia elements right into their QuarkXPress pages. Shockwave Animations, Games, Live Audio, and so on can be played immediately upon loading. As a result, designers can create previews and mock-ups of large web-design projects entirely within QuarkXPress. An immediate preview of the interactivity of the web-page layout can be seen without time-consuming HTML programming.

For the conversion of QuarkXPress documents to HTML, HexMac has developed a second already well-known XTension to called HexWeb XT 2.1. This XTension automatically converts QuarkXPress documents to HTML through the use of an extensive list of tools for setting up and managing a web site.

The XTension, which is used by nationally recognized publications such as The Detroit News who converts over 200 HTML documents every day, has been described recently as the "de-facto standard " in its field in the August issue of "The Seybold Report on Desktop Publishing."
