Responsibilites

Analysis, design, programming and modification of web applications for mission critical production Intranet and Internet systems with HPS. System architecture, functional and technical design, relational database design, programming, testing, debugging of web applications and maintenance support.

Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance. Interface with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.

Utilize project methodology disciplines, effective language coding with version change control, efficient processing routines, hardware utilization and industry standard database management techniques.

Work closely with project teams, prepare and conduct system and programming tests requiring interfacing or hardware or software.

Qualifications

Work experience in programming web applications. Thorough understanding of Java, HTML, CGI, web middleware, and other web protocols. Knowledge of UNIX, Solaris, WinNT, Netscape Server, Oracle and other major SQL RDBMS, as well as software documentation, utilities and application programming interface development tools.

2 or more years experience in delivering applications into a production environment.

Responsibilites:

Senior DBA to take lead on implementation and support of business systems utilizing HPS with Oracle RDBMS on Sun Solaris platforms.

Qualifications:

Requires technical work experience as a database administrator who has defined, setup and maintained Oracle environments in Unix and NT systems. Requires 2-3 years Oracle experience with strong understanding of database internals, and a background with large multi-site client server applications.

Must have knowledge and experience in the use of Oracle database utilities and standard SQL. Would like to have: database experience supporting SAP, e-commerce database support experience; relational database application design and development experience; CASE tool experience; and/or industry recognized project methodology knowledge.

Responsibilites:

The role of the UNIX Specialist is to oversee and coordinate the integration of HPS systems across Europe and act as the central point of contact and control, ensuring that the day to day needs of the business are met.

Qualifications:

The UNIX specialist will ideally possess a combination of the following skills and experience: Educated to degree level with minimum 2 years experience in an IT environment.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to prioritize and meet deadlines. Numerate, with the ability to be accurate and attentive to detail. Able to work on own initiative and also as part of a team.

Enthusiastic, self-starter who works in a pro-active manner, providing solutions. Good iner-personal skills with the ability to communicate clearly at all levels. Motivation and reliabililty are extremely important as well as a commitment to achieving completion of tasks within agreed time scales and budget. Ability to work on own initiative and handle mulitple projects. Remains calm in a crisis and maintains sense of humor.
