The Detroit News is giving the online readers a possibility to tell their opinion about the articles they have read, or about any subject, they want to discuss about. Previously, the editorial stuff used to receive emails and then converted them to HTML files.

The advantage of a feedback system based on a HexBase database is the shorter reaction times, the users get their answers on the Web site almost immediately, and the better administration of the stories. The system also archives old discussions, so that users can search with a full-text search aafter keywords.
